The city is very quiet again, somehow. Certain active people are now gone, while others simply are more scarce now.

It's a shame.

The one I would seek is gone already. The rest, just aren't around their usual places. I'm not seeking them just yet, only noticing.

I believe that would be a slow reaction on your part then. As for the others, well, they're still developing routines and the like I would assume.

But then the statement was on the quiet of the city in general. Things may pick up again later, but for now there's little to do.

There's much to do if you set your mind upon something specific to begin with.
